MEALS OSIP Adult Day Services provides nutritious cooked-on-site meals and snacks for its participants in compliance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). On arrival in the morning, participants are served a light breakfast consisting of juice, fruit, toast and a choice of milk, tea or coffee. The noon meal menu is printed monthly and provides a balance of the food groups identified in the USDA Food Pyramid. Participants’ special needs with regard to weight control, allergies or other health issues are accommodated as necessary. EXERCISE OSIP Adult Day Services offers a daily exercise program. The exercise program was specifically designed by a physical therapist for the elderly. The exercises take place from a seated position and focus on maintaining or improving both small and large motor skill functioning. RESPITE Whether the participant is a family member or someone sharing your home, knowing that your loved one is in a safe and fun environment allows caregivers much needed “time off”. This kind of separation enhances the enjoyment felt and the quality of time spent when the participant and caregiver are home together.
